Why I love filming at Newport Harbor Island Resort
I've been filming weddings at Newport Harbor Island Resort since 2024. The Goat Island location surrounds the day with Newport Harbor, open sky, boats, bridges, and changing coastal light.
Rachel and Saad's wedding used the Rose Island Ballroom, and I loved how the waterfront setting carried through the full story. Outdoor moments immediately established Newport, while the ballroom gave the reception a polished finish without losing that coastal identity.
Harbor light can change quickly, so I watch the timing closely and use short portrait windows when conditions are strongest. That keeps the couple present with their guests while still preserving the scenery that made them choose the venue.
