Why I love filming weddings at Granite Rose
I've been filming weddings at Granite Rose since 2013, and I love how much variety the property gives a film without making the day feel complicated. The garden ceremony space, stonework, mature trees, and flowers feel secluded, while everything the couple and guests need stays close by.
The Wedgewood Weddings team does a great job keeping the timeline moving while still giving the couple room to enjoy the day. That matters on video. The best reactions and interactions usually happen when nobody feels rushed or overly directed, and the venue makes it easy for me to stay close without getting in the way.
Inside, the Grand Embassy Hall has a completely different energy. The wall of windows brings in natural light, the dark wood bar adds warmth, and the chandelier gives the room a polished focal point. From quiet portraits to a busy dance floor, there is always something visually strong to work with.
A secluded garden ceremony
The paved aisle, detailed stonework, wrought-iron arbor, and surrounding trees create a ceremony setting that feels private and photographs beautifully from several angles.
Natural light indoors
The Grand Embassy Hall has a wall of windows that keeps the room bright and lets the reception retain some of the atmosphere from outside.
An easy indoor-outdoor flow
The wraparound deck and firepit give guests room to step outside while keeping cocktail hour and the reception connected to the main celebration.
